Permit to Work version 3.0 brings improvements including automatic mobile responsiveness, extended out of the box features, and easier permit export.
May 1, 2019 • Glasgow, UK
Pro-Sapien, specialist provider of EHS software on Office 365, has announced an upgrade to their Permit to Work product.
The new version of the module, version 3.0, will be available on Office 365 from June 2019.
Permit to Work joined the Pro-Sapien suite of products in 2012 and was last upgraded in 2016. Keeping track of active work permits for both employees and contractors is a key element of Operational Risk Management and Process Safety Management, helping to avoid potentially harmful conflicts.
Utilizing automation makes the process more efficient, with notifications of simultaneous operations, reminders, workflows and digital signature approval.
The upgrade to Pro-Sapien’s Permit to Work module includes:
- Mobile responsiveness as standard
- Compatibility with any touch device for signatures using HTML5
- User configurable checklists, allowing new permits with checklists to be added easily
- Clear access to a permit’s Issue, Receipt, Handover, Extension, and Closure history
- Export a permit summary to multiple role-based, branded Word templates
- More out of the box features such as permit types and associated requirements
Scott Mills, a key developer on the upgrade project, commented:
Permit to Work is an interesting module as it covers Operational and Safety Management, involving a mix of employees and contractors. By updating the out of the box features we’ve made Pro-Sapien’s product faster to deploy. We ensured the entire form works perfectly on a mobile device, making it easier to use.
Scott Mills, Developer, Pro-Sapien
Like all Pro-Sapien software, the new Permit to Work module benefits from integration with Office 365, including with Power BI for ad-hoc report building and sharing.
Andy Gray, Technical Director at Pro-Sapien, commented:
Client requests drive our product roadmap, so many changes are common requirements we have seen over the last few years. Buyers will be impressed with the new Permit to Work functionality, as we further improve out-of-the-box features across the Pro-Sapien suite.
